The Beta Chi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta was installed at the University of Alberta on September 26th 1931, after the ban on secret societies was lifted at the University of Alberta. Since Beta Chi’s founding, the chapter has initiated over 1300 members. Beta Chi is the seventieth chapter of Theta, and is also the most northern chapter. As a chapter we strive for excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service and seek to make the widest influence for good, while always strengthening our bonds of love.
Our chapter at the University of Alberta is the Beta Chi Chapter, founded on September 26, 1931. Beta Chi purchased the chapter's house in 1952, and has been our home ever since. Our house, of particular pride to our members, was built in 1928 by the Miller family.
